03/29/2011 - Law Society of Alberta Electronic Submission Tool

The Law Society of Alberta introduced a new Trust Safety program that took effect January 1st, 2011. This new program introduces the filing of an Accountants Report, which is the replacement to the Form T (Form 5-2) and must be filed for any year ends after January 1, 2011.

ESILAW 2011.1.2 has introduced a new export tool developed for the Law Society of Alberta, which allows firms to quickly and easily export an electronic copy of data for submission to the Law Society in lieu of filing the annual Accountant's Report. In order to use this new feature you must be using ESILAW 2011.1.2 or higher.

If you are using a previous version of the export tool on ESILAW 2011.1 note that it has been updated in accordance with specifications provided by the Law Society. Prior to your next electronic submission please ensure that you have installed the latest hotfixes to guarantee that your submission is compatible with the required format.
