Lawyer Summaries reports


The Lawyer Summaries include three reports: Work in Progress and Work in Progress Write-offs; Billing and Variance; and Receipts and Bill Write-offs.  These reports do not list information by client/matter; information is summarized by lawyer.  All reports include both current and year to date amounts.


Lawyer reports include information on files that have been closed.  Totals are calculated for the year to date and do not include balance forward amounts from the prior year.


Print these reports as part of your month-end and year-end procedures.  Click Add to Report Runner to add the report to the Automatic Report Runner, enabling you to print the report as part of a report group.

  1. Click Reports, Summaries.

  2. Enter the Report date or press Enter to use the current date.

  3. In the Include Transactions From and To fields, enter the date range for transactions to include on the report.

  4. Choose whether to print the report by responsible lawyer, by originating lawyer, or by working (individual) lawyer.

  5. Select the lawyers to include.  You can print the report for a single lawyer, for a range of lawyers, or for all lawyers.  A separate report will print for each lawyer.

  6. Select Group Inactive Lawyers to group report totals for inactive lawyers on one line.  

  7. Choose the reports to print or select All Reports.

  8. Click View image\view20x20.gif to display the report on your screen, enabling you to export the report and to drill down for more information.  Or, click Print image\print20x20.gif to send the report to your printer.
